Heartfelt Community Care

Heartfelt Community Care: A Space of Intentional Care for Others

Our Aim and Commitment

At Hebron Community Center, we believe in fostering an environment where everyone feels respected, valued, and safe. The goal of this agreement is to:

●Encourage all participants to take personal responsibility for creating safer spaces.

●Promote awareness of how words, actions, and behaviors affect others.

●Empower everyone to uphold mutual respect and accountability.

●Ensure that personal boundaries are acknowledged and honored.

As part of our Heartfelt Community Care initiative, we ask all participants, staff, and volunteers to agree to the following:

Honor and Respect

●Respect others’ physical and emotional boundaries.

●Embrace and honor diverse opinions, beliefs, and ways of being.

Commit to Accountability

●Take personal responsibility for your actions and their effects on others.

●If someone communicates that your words or actions have caused harm, listen openly and take accountability.

●Support and uphold a safe environment by addressing or reporting oppressive or discriminatory behavior.

Cultivate Safety and Inclusivity

●Avoid language or behaviors that perpetuate oppression, such as racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, ageism, or any form of bigotry.

●Ensure the space remains safe for children and vulnerable individuals.

○alcohol, drugs, tobacco products, or weapons of any kind in the building are prohibited

○behavior meant to intimidate or felt to intimidate will not be tolerated

●Take responsibility for your own safety and seek help when needed.

When the Agreement is Not Respected

Hebron Community Center prioritizes the safety and inclusivity of all participants. If an individual or group behaves in a way that violates this agreement:

●They will be respectfully challenged about their behavior.

●Persistent or serious violations may result in removal from the event or program, without entitlement to a refund (if applicable).

●Any behavior involving violence, harassment, or threats will result in immediate dismissal.
